At least two people dead and five more injured in mass shooting near car show in Los Angeles park
A citywide ‘tactical alert’ has been ordered in Los Angeles’ San Pedro neighborhood after two people were shot dead and at least five more injured in a Sunday shooting.
The shooting took place at Peck Park in San Pedro at around 3:51 p.m. local time on the 560 block of N. Western Avenue.
Initially, EMS officials in LA said that seven people were injured in the shooting.
An LA Fire Department official later said in a press conference that two of those people have died from their injuries at local hospitals, according to CBS Los Angeles.

The LAPD said that its Harbor Division responded to the scene after 911 calls reported a shooting.
The gunfire was apparently heard in the area of a car show happening in the park near a baseball field, LA EMS said.
Officials have said they believe there were at least two shooters and have already found some weapons, adding that this shooting wasn’t random and may have been a dispute between two different people.

Police said that the car show actually didn’t have a permit but it had brought a lot of people to the park, with KTLA reporting as many as 500 at the time of the shooting.
