Veil Nebula

Terra Moons Veil Nebula Cosmic Chameleon Shadow ($13.00 for 0.05 oz.) seemed to have a warmer, plummy base with intense, multichrome shimmer that shifted from reddish-plum to olive gold to pale chartreuse to cool aqua to violet. It had a smooth, metallic sheen that was shiny and reflective but not thick, so it didn’t emphasize my skin’s texture.

The eyeshadow had a lightly creamy, moderately dense feel that was still more loosely-pressed overall, so I’d make sure to use a lighter hand when initially working with it. The product applied evenly to bare skin and stayed on well for eight and a half hours before fading a bit.

Formula Overview

$13.00/0.05 oz. – $260.00 Per Ounce

The formula is supposed to be a cross between “vivid metallic and iridescent chameleon,” so they have a stronger color base but a multichrome shift. The brand recommended applying over an eyeshadow primer and in a thin layer to “intensify the shift,” though I did not personally find that primer necessarily impacted the shift as they were readily apparent used on their own.

They were richly pigmented with a soft, smooth consistency that was lightly emollient but not too thick or too densely-packed into the pan, so it was easy to pick up product with a dry brush as well as fingertips/dampened brushes if preferred. The eyeshadow applied evenly to bare skin and blended out well along the edges.

The vivid, more colored base helped make these easier to incorporate with other eyeshadows, too, so those who find multichromes daunting may like to start with this type of multichrome. They lasted between seven and eight hours on me before creasing visibly.

Midnight Winter

Terra Moons Midnight Winter Cosmic Chameleon Shadow ($13.00 for 0.05 oz.) has a soft black base with multichrome shimmer that shifted from warmer purple to grungy, olive green to brighter, lime green to emerald green to a trace of navy blue at the most extreme end of the spectrum.

The consistency was lightly creamy, denser but not thick or too firmly-pressed into the pan, which helped it pick up evenly with a brush and transfer well to bare skin. It had opaque pigmentation that wore well for nine hours before fading visibly.

Tidal Flare

Terra Moons Tidal Flare Cosmic Chameleon Shadow ($13.00 for 0.05 oz.) seemed to have a grayish-purple base with finer, multichrome shimmer that shifted from reddish-plum to dirty, peachy-gold to pale green-gold. There was a strong muted quality to the shadow that isn’t commonly seen with most multichrome releases, so those who often find the effect too impactful may enjoy the subdued nature of this one.

The shift was visible but less pronounced than most of the brand’s other shades. The texture was smooth, almost cream-like, and finely-milled without being prone to fallout. It lasted well for eight and a half hours before fading noticeably.

Crimson Eclipse

Terra Moons Crimson Eclipse Cosmic Chameleon Shadow ($13.00 for 0.05 oz.) seemed to have a pinky-red base with multichromatic shimmer and sparkle that shifted from brighter pink to orange-red to warm yellow. The most dramatic and noticeable part of the shift was more orange to yellowy-gold with a hint of pink/red at the edges.

The texture was soft, blendable, and more loosely-pressed, so there was light fallout during the initial application, but I didn’t have issues later on during wear. It had opaque color coverage that stayed on nicely for eight and a half hours before fading visibly.
