Rosuvastatin can also lead to “protein in your pee”, especially if you are taking a 40mg dose of the statin, or more.
There are no tell-tale signs of protein in the urine, so this will need to be monitored by your doctor.
Other “common” side effects of the statin may include:
- Feeling sick
- Headaches
- Stomach pain
- Feeling weak or dizzy.
“Keep taking the medicine, but tell your doctor or pharmacist if these side effects bother you or do not go away,” the NHS advised.
