Marcus Browne Domestic Violence Case Update – Is He Acquitted?

Marcus Browne was arrested for two counts of domestic violence on April 6, 2018. He appears to have been found not guilty.

According to authorities, on March 30, 2018, the boxer demanded entry to his ex-apartment, girlfriend’s in violation of an order of protection issued after he allegedly assaulted her on December 28, 2017.

 

On the 19th of January 2019, police arrested him again for allegedly kicking in the woman’s Park Hill Avenue door and choking her on September 27, 2018. He pleaded guilty to second-degree criminal contempt and was sentenced to 26 sessions of the batterer’s intervention program as well as conditional release for that incident. As a result, he was unable to compete in the WBO light heavyweight championship fight against Sergey Kovalev.

Marcus was arrested again, this time for felony criminal contempt, aggravated family offense, and misdemeanor counts of criminal trespass and contempt, almost five months later. This was his fourth arrest in less than two years.
