KraveBeauty Makeup Re-Wined Removes Makeup Better Than a Face Wipe — Review, Photos

I don’t wear as much makeup, but I always end the day with layers upon layers of sunscreen (namely the Everyday Humans Rose From Above Mineral Sunscreen Base) on my face. Makeup Re-Wined helps cut through all that UV protection and strips it off my skin without taking moisture along with it, thanks to sunflower seed oil.

I recently learned this ingredient is a favorite of board-certified dermatologist Whitney Bowe, MD. She added it to her new Bowe Glowe moisturizer because “over the years, my patients who are acne prone and have the most sensitive skin when it comes to clogging their pores, they can tolerate it,” Dr. Bowe told Allure. “It never breaks them out.” She also mentioned that recent studies have found that sunflower seed oil helps protect preterm newborn babies in the NICU who have skin moisture barriers that haven’t fully formed from infections. Talk about a powerhouse ingredient.

Grapeseed oil, which just so happens to be upcycled from the same grapes used to make wine, also powers the jelly elixir. (I could imagine something along the lines of Grape Jelly Oil was also on KraveBeauty’s list of names for this product.) This particular oil not only helps your skin retain its moisture but also helps fight acne because it’s antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory, according to South Florida-based board-certified dermatologist Jeffrey Fromowitz, MD.

With those rich oils, you might assume washing off Makeup Re-Wined would take some elbow grease — pun intended — to wash off with water. However, it slides right off skin, leaving it fresh, soft, and free of any pigments that previously clung to your face for dear life. I love painting on long-wear, sweatproof liquid liners, and even those disappear in seconds.
