Rihanna just doesn’t know when to stop delivering her larger-than-life hairstyles, but we’re absolutely not mad about it. On Thursday, November 4, the Fenty Beauty founder and singer showed off some long blonde hair in an announcement regarding the release of her old music on vinyl records. Fast forward three days later to Sunday, November 7, and she’s got us all mesmerized once again with some lengthy braids.
The singer wore the protective hairstyle while attending ComplexCon, a festival that was held in Long Beach, California, on November 6 and 7. RiRi was not included in the lineup of musical performers, but her boyfriend, rapper ASAP Rocky, performed at the festival. Rihanna is no stranger to wearing braids (check out the gorgeous zig-zag braids she wore in August when her Fenty fragrance sold out), but the singer’s Navy came out in full force to sing their praises for her braids. Countless fans expressed their love for them by leaving some heart-eyed face emojis in the comments sections of ComplexCon’s post.
A stylist wasn’t tagged, but perhaps these braids were the work of Yusef Williams, the hairstylist behind several of RiRi’s other hairstyles throughout the years? We can’t be sure, but we are keen on the fact that her fiery-red outfit was surely coming in hot (see what we did there?).
Hairstyles on celebrities always come and go in the blink of an eye, so Rihanna is probably getting ready to unveil another new hairstyle real soon. We’re obsessed with all of RiRi’s looks, but we have a certain soft spot for her bangs, which we’ve paid homage to in a roundup here.
