The Golden Goddess

Charlotte Tilbury The Golden Goddess Eyeshadow Quad ($53.00 for 0.18 oz.) released in the past year–I managed to miss it!–and is a a warm-toned neutral palette with all shimmer shades. The quality was fairly consistent with past quads by the brand, though the formula wasn’t as good as it gets in the larger palettes the brand has released in the last couple of years.

The Golden Goddess #1

The Golden Goddess #1 is a light-medium, peachy gold with strong, warm undertones and a metallic sheen. The texture was somewhat powdery, which resulted in sheerer color coverage that didn’t build up well without a lightly tacky primer underneath it. There were signs of fading visible after seven hours of wear.

The Golden Goddess #2

The Golden Goddess #2 is a light taupe-brown with soft, warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It had full color payoff, which applied evenly to bare skin and blended out well. The texture was smooth, finely-milled, and a touch on the thin side but didn’t prove to be a problem on my skin. It wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

The Golden Goddess #3

The Golden Goddess #3 is a light-medium, yellowy brown base with flecks of peach-pink sparkle. It had a lightly emollient feel to it, almost wet-like, which helped the larger sparkles adhere to the lid, though I still had some fallout during application. It had mostly opaque color payoff, which was buildable, but the texture was a little firmer and stiffer to work with overall. It stayed on well for eight hours but had light fallout over time.

The Golden Goddess #4

The Golden Goddess #4 is a smoky, golden bronze with a pearly sheen. It had opaque color payoff in a single layer, which had a soft, lightly powdery consistency that was blendable and sat well on bare skin. It lasted nicely for eight hours before fading visibly.
