Chaitra month will begin on the Pratipada date of Krishna Paksha. As per the Hindu calendar, Chaitra month is the first month of the year. The Hindu New Year begins on the Pratipada date of Shukla Paksha. During this month, Shivratri is also celebrated on the Chaturdashi date of Krishna Paksha. On this special day, three special yogas – Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga, Brahma Yoga and Indra Yoga – will be formed. When is Chaitra Shivratri 2024?
According to the Hindu Vedic calendar, Chaitra Shivratri is celebrated on the Chaturdashi of Krishna Paksha in Chaitra month. It has been found that the auspicious festival will start at 06:53 AM on Sunday, April 7, and will end at 03:21 AM on Monday, April 8. The auspicious time for Nishita Puja will be April 7; as a result, the fast of Chaitra Shivratri will be done on April 7.
Chaitra Shivratri 2024: Muhurat
For people who will be keeping a fast and performing puja on the occasion of Chaitra Shivratri, the auspicious time will be between 12:00 AM and 12:45 AM. They will only have 45 minutes to perform all the rituals. Apart from that, devotees can worship and celebrate Chaitra Shivratri the whole day.
Chaitra Shivratri: Three Auspicious Yogas
On the occasion of Chaitra Shivratri, three auspicious yogas are being formed. These include Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga, Brahma Yoga, and Indra Yoga. The Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga will start at 12:58 PM on April 7 and continue until 06:03 AM on April 8. Apart from that, brahma yoga will start in the morning and continue until 10:17 PM on April 7. On Chaitra Shivratri, purva bhadrapada nakshatra will also start in the morning and continue until 12:58 PM on April 7.
