[affiliate/ad] A while ago I posted wondering why there were no specific new year candles (it turned out that there are one or two) when our scent desires change so rapidly from cinnamon and incense to anything but. I’ve got several candles coming up and they’re all as far away from festive as you might want. I’ve put our decorations away and already Christmas feels like a distant memory (I have to confess to be itching to get it all down and stored away from about the 26th!) so this freshly scented offering from Bahoma London is perfection for my newly tidy house.
It’s a very crisp scent, veering a little bit to that antiseptic note that citrus can sometimes have and which I do not mind at all because clean and crisp is absolutely ringing my bells. The citrus is clear and prominent with bergamot also evident amongst the floral notes. The background is woody although the overall picture becomes one of grapefruit and lemon rather than lime.
In searching for a stockist for the Grapefruit candle, I headed to TK Maxx where I often have seen Bahoma and stumbled across these two from This Works reduced from £25 to £12.99 HERE, non affiliate HERE. Either are the ideal evening or bath time companion to sink into some sort of relaxation.. as much as we can at the moment. I spotted (also TK Maxx) the Acqua di Parma Murano collection on there for £79 each instead of £134 HERE, but much as I love them, that’s still too pricy for me. I also saw some Annick Goutal but they’re exactly the same price on Escentual (£49) and Look Fantastic so I’m failing to see what kind of bargain they are! Bahoma, interestingly, pops up on Secret Sales and Brand Alley with some regularity so you may be better to wait for either TK, SS or BA to have new stock than pay the full price of £28 HERE. I did find a Grapefruit and Lime twin set from Bahoma on Amazon in the same scent but different design for £14.95 HERE, non affiliate HERE if you are really feeling for zesty.
