Ava Max is changing things up in a big way. The musician just ditched her platinum blonde hair in favor of a traffic-stopping fire-engine red and it’s definitely getting me in the holiday spirit.
Max debuted the fresh color on her Instagram on November 22, saying it was “officially red season.” She’s giving us big time glam with the cherry red color, and hinted that the red was inspired by the Bloody Queen/Crimson Avenger in the Elsword game; Max has changed her Instagram profile pic to an image of the character and she also included her in the carousel of pics.

Max leaned into the bright crimson color for a recent appearance at the iHeartRadio 106.1 KISS FM’s Jingle Ball in Fort Worth, Texas: She matched her lipstick to her hair color almost exactly for a monochromatic vibe and added a thick, bold black cat eye and strong, sculpted brow. She also paired her middle-parted scarlet waves with a star-studded white leather jacket and matching lace-up pants worn over over a bedazzled bustier. The red carpet look was very Elvis-meets-Ariel, with the perfect fusion of rock ‘n roll attitude and Old Hollywood glamour.
