The 2022 Cannes Film Festival is well underway, and the beauty looks are certainly not disappointing. Two of our favorite looks thus far have been Elle Fanning’s Princesscore hair and Eva Longoria’s ponytail and curtain bangs, but it doesn’t stop there. Anne Hathaway looked like a real-life version of her character from The Princess Diaries, Mia Thermopolis, on the red carpet.
At this point, Hathaway is basically royalty, and although her hair and makeup looks are usually pretty neutral in comparison to, say, Megan Thee Stallion or Doja Cat, they don’t go unnoticed — namely, we have to mention her Devil Wears Prada bangs from January and her short hair from 2021.
Most recently, she has debuted the return of a staple early-aughts trend: Bump-It hair. We all remember those commercials, but Hathaway is bringing back a classy 2020s version, and we are loving it. She graced the red carpet at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival on May 20 in princess-like hair, which was chest-length and wavy.
Parted down the middle, her hairstyle included some long curtain bangs, which led up to the miniature beehive. It wasn’t too exaggerated, yet the volume really elevated her look (get it? Ha). The remainder of her hair was fastened at the back of her head, giving her a cute half-up, half-down look.
