While it seems commonplace nowadays, in my opinion, Miley Cyrus was one of the original pop stars to make bold, dramatic changes and undergo shocking rebrands that really shook fans up. (Her transition from Hannah Montana to her “Can’t Be Tamed” era is forever engrained in my memory.)
Nowadays, the Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter has settled into her pop-rock persona, and with that has embraced her two-toned icy bronde strands. But, just this week, Cyrus shocked fans with an unexpected look change, as she debuted an almost entirely brunette head of hair that had all of us doing a double take.
Miley Cyrus Is Back to Brunette
Just yesterday, the “Flowers” singer posted on Instagram announcing her appearance on David Letterman’s Netflix series My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, and fans were not only thrilled at the thought of experiencing a new live vocal session from the singer, but were also obsessing over her brown hair.
Cascading down to her mid back, Cyrus is seen at the mic with predominantly brown strands slicked back and styled straight—a stark difference from the blonde, bouffant styles we’re used to seeing on her. One look at the comments on the singer’s post prove that the change is a welcomed one, though, with commenters singing praises like, “Digging the hair. It looks amazing on you. It fits you perfectly,” and, “OMG the hair!! I thought this was from “Can’t Be Tamed” era!! WOW!!!”
