Dr Amir added: “If you eat right, and get lots of vitamin D, you can reduce your risk of osteoporosis.”
Post menopausal women are also said to be at an increased risk of the condition.
This is because women who have stopped ovulating have less oestrogen in their body.
“But exercise, sleep, eat right and [get] vitamin D – you can help mitigate some of that shrinkage,” stated Dr Amir.
