Before 2020, you probably wouldn’t have thought of hand sanitizer as a beauty product. Actually, you probably wouldn’t have really thought about hand sanitizer much at all. But two years of living in a pandemic—and the dry, flaking hands that have come along with it—has given us reason to reconsider our relationship with this particular personal care product. Enter, the new “it girl” of hand beauty: Touchland Glow Mist Rosewater ($16).

Touchland, Glow Mist Rosewater — $16.00

Are your hands a cry for help? A spritz of this stuff keeps germs at bay and restores the look and feel of hand skin—something your average hand sanitizer could never.

Cool-kid brand Touchland launched in 2019 with a line of uber-chic “Power Mists,” which—for seemingly the first time ever—made sanitizing your hands feel like a luxury experience. In the years since, the brand has added dozens of colorful, delightfully-scented spritzes to its lineup, all of which leave hands germ-free and smelling great without ever feeling sticky or dried out. The best part, though, is that unlike most hand sanitizers, they don’t smell like cheap vodka sodas—a win in my book, for sure.

This week, Touchland dropped its new “Glow Mist,” further solidifying its status as a true beauty brand. The mist smells like a rosy perfume and offers skin-rejuvenating properties, while also, ya know, doing its job to keep your hands clean.

Like all of the brand’s signature mists, the formula is made with functional ingredients, like alcohol (to kill germs), aloe (for added hydration), and radish root ferment (for an extra antimicrobial boost). But in addition to hand cleanliness, this particular mist goes above and beyond to prioritize hand care— rejuvenating and replenishing dry, thirsty paws with every spray. This is all thanks to two proprietary actieves: Detoxskin, which works on a cellular level to even skin tone, remove dead cells, and protect from pesky blue light, and Vitasource, which boosts collagen production. The result? Softer, smoother hands that don’t look like they’ve been washed 100,000 times since March of 2020.

Then, of course, there’s the scent. Rosewater smells delightfully light and clean, and the flowery rose and pink peony at the heart of the fragrance are offset with notes of fresh berries, blackcurrant buds, and sultry musk. There’s no trail of rubbing alcohol or whiff of synthetic fragrance—it’s natural, refreshing, and all the more reason to use the stuff in the first place.

Good to “Glow”? Stock up on this super sanitizer online at Touchland’s website or—for the first time ever—Sephora.com. Told you it was a beauty product.
