[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] False lashes are a big no-no for me – I just cannot fiddle about with glue and spider legs and come out with a lash line that looks anything other than full – and drunk – Drag Race. I’m not even sure why I said yes to receiving the new Tatti Lash Pre-Glued sets of lashes but they’ve sat on my table all week and we’ve eyed each other up, suspiciously.
As if further proof were needed, take a look at the absolute mess I got those nice, orderly rows. Barely even going to mention the ones I found in my fringe….
However, proving that patience is the virtue we all need, I eventually got something of a wobbly line of lashes, enabled by the magnifying mirror of doom and a Diet Coke. The Tatti lashes work by having a line of glue at the ends (or beginnings, as it correctly is) that you carefully place with the special ‘tweezers’ under your existing lashes. You can then squeeze the false lash and the lash together at the roots for proper hold – I found this really difficult to do.
For us midlifers, a big factor is eyesight. If you need glasses for close work, I suggest you grab a pair of the flip lenses (Donna May London has some good ones HERE) to make your lash life a bit easier. I’ve got very poor co-ordination for things in reverse so mirror work is not my friend but you may have precision licked, in which case you will be absolutely fine.
So, you can see here that this tentative line is firmly in place – the placing needs more effort but overall, I’m pretty pleased with that. Personally, I would go for the finest and shortest set you can find – a good starter set would be the Tatti Lash 1-Step Press set HERE, because it includes the tweezers and you do need those.
The finished effect – one eye absolutely perfect (right) and one eye 95% perfect. So, as a newbie to this pre-glued game, I’ll take it. If I’m being picky, for me personally, they’re a bit full-on – I think I’d like something a little bit shorter and wispier in a finer lash girth (if that’s the right word) for every day. Oh, and speaking of days, these lashes lasted the entire day with no movement at all. Tatti says that they’ll stay on for five days but much as I’m up for a challenge, I have meetings this week and can’t risk a stray cluster slowly crawling down my cheek.
