When Tatcha launches a new SKU, it is not without some fanfare. And now, as the month and year quickly race to a close, the brand is sneaking in one more skin-care innovation to join the ranks.
Launching today on Tatcha.com and Sephora.com (in-store at Sephora is scheduled for early January), the “years-in-the-making” Dewy Serum ($88)—it was so hush-hush that it was referred to as the “Secret Serum” at the Tatcha Institute in Japan prior to the release and considered a “passion project” for the Product Innovation Team, as well as a personal “dream treatment” of the brand’s chief scientist—joins the popular Dewy portfolio of products.
Infused with a cocktail of lactic acid, superfoods, plant-derived hyaluronic acid, and sugarcane-fueled squalane, the lightweight formula aims to smooth, hydrate and plump, all while gently resurfacing skin to deliver that always-in-demand radiant look, complete with a touch of, as the name suggests, dew.
As the brand tell us, the formula leans heavily on the star proprietary superfood mix—the Hadasei-3TM, Tatcha’s complex of double-fermented Japanese rice, green tea, and algae—which this new serum boasts a high 73-percent of in its formula.
The result is a long-lasting hydrator that plays well with pretty much anything else you pair with it—all while giving skin a believable-looking (read: not shiny, not oily, not glittery) glow.
