The media personality recently admitted he struggles with maintaining his new slimline physique after a whopping six stone weight loss

Speaking to Ross Kemp on his podcast The Kempcast, Chris confessed he still suffers from body dysmorphia, despite having shrunk from 18 stone to 12 stone.

The comedian detailed his strict regimen of weighing himself daily and barely eating all day Monday-Friday, before enjoying himself at the weekends.

He said: ‘Before lockdown, Monday, Wednesday, Friday I would do the show we would have a quick meeting… and then I’d get to the gym and I’d train 11-12 or 11-1, depending on how fat I was feeling. I’m feeling really fat at the moment!

‘I’m fascinated by body dysmorphia because I really have an issue with body dysmorphia, which I think most people do. I’ve lost six stone from my worst weight when I was 18 stone!

‘I know my body really well now, and I’m still learning. I don’t have the metabolism of an 18-year-old girl or boy, I just don’t.

He continued: ‘I will, and people don’t believe me, but I weigh myself six days a week, and I know you shouldn’t and I know it’s not for everyone, but I do that so I can learn about how my body works.

‘I will train Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and I will watch what I eat and I’ll eat very little. I do intermittent fasting and I’ll eat at 6:30PM or 7PM and I’ll be fine. I need to do that from the weekends that I have.’

Having previously stated he thought he’d ‘die at 50’ if he didn’t overhaul his diet, Chris has managed to lose weight by ditching bread and booze, taking part in five-day detoxes and embarking on a strict fitness regime.

Chris has attributed his former unhealthy lifestyle to working early morning shifts for Radio 1’s Breakfast Show, as it meant he would often eat junk food and snacks while working.

Calling his time on the show his ‘fat breakfast DJ stage’, the radio personality was previously said to rarely exercise and would often eat multiple takeaways a day.

Now working for Radio X, the star has been able to focus on having better eating habits and exercising, and he now credits his weight loss to running and ditching junk food.

According to GoodToKnow, before his weight loss mission Chris ate about 2,000 calories per day of unhealthy food, but the DJ has told fans he believed the number was much higher.

Taking to his Facebook page at the time, Chris refuted: ‘Have you missed a zero off that? If I was consuming only 2000 calories a day, I could’ve lost weight!

‘The NHS website says a man needs around 2,500 calories a day to maintain his weight.

‘I eat eggs as they are. Chicken with skin on, only started eating fish recently and have turkey at Christmas.’

He now eats the same amount of calories, but has swapped greasy pizza and fatty ice cream for fresh fruit and vegetables, along with grains like quinoa and oatmeal.
