The Anand Karaj, which is the Sikh marriage ceremony, saw Rakul Preet adorn a lehenga that took over 4000 hours to create. Rakul’s bridal look featured a resplendent chikankari lehenga in soft hues of ivory and gold tones. The bridal custom piece was adorned with celestial mirror work.
Paired harmoniously with an embellished blouse boasting exaggerated sleeves, Rakul completed her opulent look with a mesmerising, delicately scalloped silk tissue georgette veil. Rakul’s Tarun Tahiliani ensemble epitomised timeless elegance with a nod to heritage. Rakul’s bridal chooda and kaliras were handcrafted by Mrinalini Chandra, adding personal moments from Rakul’s life to the designs.
Jackky complemented his bride’s sartorial charm as the Tarun Tahiliani groom, looking suave in an intricately embroidered sherwani. A one-of-a-kind masterpiece, the precisely constructed sherwani, tailored exclusively for Jacky Bhagnani, is a captivating fusion of intricate Persian floral motifs.
Meticulously crafted using authentic aari and zardozi techniques by Tarun Tahiliani’s in-house masters and karigars, Jackky’s day wedding ensemble is a homage to tradition with a nod to timeless elegance.
Immersed in hues of ivory and adorned with pure silk threads, the sherwani features 3D motifs intricately layered on an embroidered surface. The ensemble is thoughtfully paired with an embroidered stole and a matching kurta and churidar, creating a seamless blend of ease and luxurious textures. Jacky’s bespoke look is a celebration of craftsmanship and individuality.
A labour of love and dedication, each ensemble created for the two wedding ceremonies by Tarun Tahiliani was met with Ami Patel’s perfect styling. Rakul’s lehengas for both ceremonies were draped by drape artist Aparana Golatkar.
Hair stylist Aliya Shaik and makeup artist Salim Sayed created magic with Rakul’s minimal yet flawless hair and makeup. Jackky’s new-age groom’s hair and makeup were done by hairstylist Subrata Senapati and make-up artist Pooja Gwalani.
After three days of wedding festivities, the couple are back in Mumbai. The couple were spotted at the airport exchanging pleasantries and sweets with the media outside the airport.
Rakul and Jackky make one happy couple, as was evident in the wedding video the couple uploaded on social media today, capturing all the wonderful memories they created over the three days amidst close friends and family.
