Millie Bobby Brown has been a proud owner of a shoulder-grazing lob for a while now. Despite the short haircut, the actor still likes to play around with her styling. She’s worn slicked-back buns, half-up looks with wavy tendrils, and sleek and straight styles with bumped ends. But now, that blonde-highlighted lob has been replaced with a shorter, chin-length bob and a full set of bangs.
She debuted the new short cut on December 9 on Instagram with the caption, “i’m already grown up, i just get older.” In the photo, Brown is sitting on the floor in a cream-colored sweater next to a life-size chess piece. Her new bob is a dark, chocolate-brown color, a shade she has had in the past, and looks bluntly cut right around her chin. In addition to the shorter cut, she also chopped off the front of her hair for thick bangs that fall into her eyes. The blunt fringe is slightly parted down the middle to gives the style a very casual look.

Fans in the comments were very excited to see the new cut. Many noted in the comments that the look might be for her upcoming Netflix film, The Girls I’ve Been, in which she will play a character named Nora O’Malley, by dropping the name Nora several times. But perhaps Brown simply wanted a change in her style, and what better haircut to do that with than a bob and bangs? She may have also noticed that we predicted rich brown as a hair color trend for 2022 and wanted to be ahead of the curve. There’s no way of knowing right now, but we gotta say that this new cut and color look exquisite on the 17-year-old Pisces.
