Oestrogen, which plays a key role in skin health, is one of the first hormones to plummet during menopause.

It has strong ties with the production of collagen, which is one of the building blocks of skin health.

Doctor Kinsella explained: “Oestrogen helps the skin to stay moisturised. It stimulates the production of natural oils and collagen, which is a natural protein that maintains the strength and elasticity of the skin.”
