[purchase] Honestly, sometimes I need my head shaking! I’ve been in Stockholm over the past weekend and generally when I’m away I don’t go near any beauty shops – I have so much here and I need a break from thinking about beauty. However, at the 11th hour, I weakened and bought Lumene Natural Glow Fluid Foundation which turns out to be Finnish, not Swedish. Gah! I also bought a shampoo and haven’t checked yet whether that is Finnish too.
I’ve used Lumene skin care products and really like them but didn’t know they did make up too, so it all adds to the knowledge bank. I bought the foundation in 1.5 which is Fair because I’m most likely to wear this kind of finish in winter when my tone is much lighter than it is in summer. It reminds me a lot of Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation in texture and feel – very easy to blend, light to medium level coverage and a very beautiful lightfulness.
It’s caught a little bit in my nose pores but I did zero skin prep before I took this picture – I find that a light exfoliation gets rid of that pore drifting and Lumene Natural Glow Fluid Foundation won’t be the first foundation that has done this. So, I don’t feel I can penalise too hard on that point because if I was moisturised and exfoliated this probably wouldn’t happen at all. I’m happy with the colour which is running neutral – neither too cool or too warm – and makes a great base to build the rest of my make up over. I’ve found it on Notino for £19.90 (it’s more expensive elsewhere) HERE and think it’s a great mid-price foundation that does catch the light in the right places.
