Jennifer Lopez going makeup-free? That’s pretty much unheard of with the always-glamorous singer, actor, and JLo Beauty founder, but it looks like that’s been Lopez’s vibe lately. She revealed a no-makeup, filter-free face in an Instagram reel on December 26.
Lopez’s latest Instagram post shows the star, along with her kids and several members of her extended family, preparing a stack of waffles on Christmas day from start to finish. It’s only in the final seconds of the video that we get a close-up shot of Lopez’s makeup-free, no-filter face as she’s holding a plate full of waffles. We’re only assuming that the waffle-making took place on Christmas morning, given that the singer signed off her Instagram caption with the hashtag #MerryChristmas.
This makeup-free clip comes just about five days after Lopez shared some photos of herself in a white Aritizia puffer jacket while wearing a neutral makeup look. It really does appear that she has been embracing a simpler beauty routine all week long.

I like to think that only two types of people exist when it comes to celebrating Christmas: those who like to get all dressed to the nines — like Lizzo and Gwen Stefani — and those that lounge in their pajamas all day. Based on the Lopez’s reel, it seems that she’s one of the girls that gets it (like me) and prefers to spend her Christmas low-key.
