Halle Berry celebrated her return to work this week with a very-quarantine era photo — a makeup-free selfie. The actor is radiant as she stares straight-to-camera, hiding a smile.
She took the photo from a cozy couch with lots of natural light pouring in, the better for her 6 million followers to see her poreless-seeming skin and bouncy-looking cheeks.
“Officially out of #quarantine, ready to get to work!” she captioned her photo. “Moonfall here I come.”
Berry clarified in the comment section that her “#quarantine” wasn’t due to illness, but instead necessary for her to begin work on her new film. “I was not sick at all! I had to do a mandatory quarantine to work here in Montreal. Thanks for your concern though,” she wrote to a fan.
Berry is shifting from quarantine mode to movie makeup, which can often involve hours in the chair and continual touch-ups throughout the day. In Moonfall, which comes from the director behind Independence Day and Day After Tomorrow, Berry will reportedly play a former NASA astronaut who jumps to the rescue when Earth is knocked off its orbit and sent hurtling into space.
