In an Instagram carousel that she posted to her grid on March 7, the singer not only got up close and personal with her manicure but also wrote about grappling with being “ghosted” throughout her life. “I have social anxiety but like the worst kind where it’s unbearable … but holy shit there’s hope,” Spears admits in her post’s caption.
Soon after, the singer reveals that looking down at the butterfly and hair bow charms on her nails helped her overcome the apprehensions that she’s experienced when talking to others. “But if you feel somewhat not acknowledged enough in life or have confidence problems, I swear these charms do in fact change your perspective,” Spears writes. “I looked at my hands, saw these charms and I exploded with conversation … not scared at all to talk … and maybe my new dope-ass assistant had a little something to do with that too.”
