The much-buzzed ingredient of snail mucin—the skin-glowing K-beauty superstar made super popular by TikTok—ended last year with a bang. According to SPATE, the term “snail serum” saw an uptick in searches, to the tune of 305.2 percent in year-over-year growth.
The interest isn’t lost on the iconic AVON, which plans to roll out a full line dedicated to its new “star ingredient”—its brand’s very own snail mucin complex—this May.
Formulated with a “snail effect that slows down the signs of aging” the new Beyond Glow cream and serum claim to hydrate skin while “visibly brightening skin with a clear, cushiony, yet fast-absorbing texture, that disappears into the skin while plumping it with hydration.”
In clinical testing, 95 percent of users said “discolorations looked reduced and skin’s fine lines appeared softer.”
The snail-specific duo consists of the Beyond Glow Snail Mucin Complex + Niacinamide Serum ($34), a vitamin B–packed silky serum that aims to visibly brighten, moisturize and retexurize skin, and the Beyond Glow Snail Mucin Complex + Panthenol Cream ($34), a supreme moisturizer that claims to improve texture and elasticity.
There’s also a high-tech and compact Beyond Glow Galvanic Booster Device ($60), developed to make the above products work even better. The on-the-go handheld utilizes red LED light to helps tone the appearance of skin texture and visibly promotes skin health.
In addition to the snail–infused SKUs, AVON will also introduce three powerful antioxidant serums under the Beyond Glow line, all of which will retail for $38.
