Ankita is known for acing difficult asanas with ease. Her Instagram is full of Yoga poses each having a different benefit. In the two fresh snippets from her workout routine, Ankita was seen slaying her flexible body as she performed the asanas that enhance stability and flexibility. In the first picture, Ankita performed Merudandasana, while in the second one she did Anantasana. Revealing the benefits of the two yoga poses, Ankita captioned her photo, “In movement there’s balance and in balance there’s movement. Merudandasana and Anantasana are two good asanas to balance your strength and flexibility.”
Let’s take a look at how these asanas can be performed.
Merudandasana
- Starts by sitting with your legs stretched outside
- Now, by inhaling and keeping your back straight, try to raise your legs upward and keep the distance intact
- Try to hold the toes with your hands
- Hold this position for a few minutes and perform deep breathing
- Now, release your toes and bring your legs back to the original position
Anantasana
- To perform this asana, lie straight on the floor on your one side
- Take the support of your one hand to raise your head
- Now, take one leg upwards in the air making a 90-degree angle
- Touch the toe of your leg with your other hand and hold the position
- After a few minutes, release the toe and come into the relaxing position
Benefits
Both asanas are known to flex the body and bring stability and balance. While Merudandasana helps in improving digestion, Anantasana reduces belly fat.
