Like everything else in the world, tonight’s SAG Awards will be presented a little bit differently than in years gone by. After a couple of delays, the show airs tonight, but was actually pre-filmed prior—mainly from the nominees’ homes via Zoom.
As makeup artist Stephen Sollitto, who worked with Amy Adams, shared, even though the traditional red carpet wasn’t part of the equation, the details that went into the star’s glam look for the show were certainly not skipped.
“Amy was nominated for her role as Bev in Hillbilly Elegy,” Sollitto says. “She was so good in this Ron Howard film. She wore an asymmetrical one-sleeve, black, floor-length Celine dress. It was gorgeous. She also wore these beautiful Cartier diamond and emerald earrings—the green in the earring was my inspiration for the colors I went with for the makeup.”
“Even on Zoom, all the details are important to me—especially when it comes to good skin. I worked with The Organic Pharmacy today. Although we didn’t have time for the Honey & Jasmine Mask ($74), I love this skin-quenching moisturizing mask. It is so rich and hydrating.”
“Instead, I started with a few drops of the brand’s Hyaluronic Acid Serum ($55). This works on fine lines, plumps and hydrates. Next, I used a few dollops of The Organic Pharmacy Antioxidant Face Gel ($110). This gel preps the skin with antioxidants and vitamins—it is perfect for everyday. Lastly, on top of that, I applied the Antioxidant Face Serum ($160). The oil-serum gives the face a healthy glow and it is a perfect starting point for makeup. Finally, to make sure her skin was perfectly fresh, I sprayed The Organic Pharmacy Rose Facial Spritz ($55) all-over.”
