Rhapsody
ColourPop Rhapsody 5-Pan Pressed Powder Palette ($10.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a warm-toned neutral color story that included three matte eyeshadows and two shimmer eyeshadows. Four of the five shades were pigmented, blendable, and easy enough to work with (though watch out for the sparkle matte!), while one shimmer was weaker in coverage and texture.
This palette is one of five in a holiday vault, though ColourPop said they would be available individually when I asked, but they have not appeared individually on the site. It’s not realistic for me to review it as a set (takes much longer, but I also started testing them across sets already, and the system is better setup for a palette, not five palettes within a set, for readability!), so I decided to review them individually still.
Ingredients
Symphony
Symphony is a light-medium, yellowy-gold with moderate, warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that was only buildable to higher coverage if applied with a fingertip. The texture was more emollient, but slightly thin, so it worked best by pressing it into place initially. It lasted well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Formula Overview
$4.50/0.05 oz. – $90.00 Per Ounce
The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

Episodic
Episodic is a rich, deeper yellow with strong, warm orange undertones and a matte finish. It had opaque color coverage paired with a smooth, blendable texture that was easy to use as it wasn’t too powdery nor too firmly-pressed into the pan. This shade stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading a bit.

Spontaneous
Spontaneous is a bright, medium orange base with lighter, yellowy-gold shimmer throughout a metallic finish. The eyeshadow had opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which adhered evenly to bare skin as the consistency was lightly emollient and not prone to fallout. There were signs of fading present after eight hours of wear.

Compose
Compose is a muted, medium orange with warmer, yellower undertones and a mostly matte finish. There were a fair number of gold flecks of sparkle throughout, but very few actually translated to my lid, so there was minimal fallout during application but certainly could be some as they didn’t bind with the underlying powder at all. It had opaque color payoff with a smooth, blendable texture that was somewhat powdery. It wore well for eight hours before fading visibly.
