How to get rid of visceral fat: Experts advise drinking warm water in the morning to help

Visceral fat lurks within the abdominal cavity, which houses vital organs such as the liver and intestines. The disastrous consequences of accumulating fat in this region includes hampering insulin production that leads to type 2 diabetes. As many know, staying hydrated is the ideal way for a person to help shift belly weight with experts recommending a certain warm beverage in the morning to help speed up metabolism and burn away your belly fat.

“When we drink warm water, our body switches its temperature and activates the metabolism, ” said nutritionist Manisha Chopra.

She added: “Warm water also breaks down body fat into molecules, making it easy for the digestive system to burn it.

“What’s more, drinking warm water before meals helps in managing our calorie intake because it makes our stomach full.”

DON’T MISS:

As most people know, sufficient water intake helps in flushing out toxins from the body and gives a boost to the metabolism.

Drinking a glass or two of warm water in the morning can help a person to lose weight and belly fat.

Warm water helps in cleansing the system.

Drinking water also reduces appetite and calorie intake and helps in maintaining hydration levels in the body.

Health experts suggest drinking hot water in the morning helps to “prep your gut,” or aid in clearing the intestines, reduce bloating, and remove excess water weight.

“It also increases core body temperature, which causes the body to expend energy to lower its temperature back to normal. This energy expenditure promotes metabolism,” according to Dr Naveed Saleh.

She added: “If you drink hot water on an empty stomach, it dilates blood vessels in the gut, which makes you feel fuller.

“This boost is most notable when hot water is consumed at the beginning of the day, research shows.

“Drinking hot water after a meal emulsifies fats, which aids digestion. Drinking hot water before bed may increase satiety, and curb the desire to snack in the middle of the night.”
