Well this is a serious throwback. Celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton and celebrity makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury helped recreate Barrymore’s Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle premiere look from 2003 for the June 6 episode of The Drew Barrymore Show. The talk show host and actress, 49, even went temporarily blonde for internet-breaking move.
Just the power of makeup and a new hairstyle, and Barrymore looks straight out of the early 2000s.
“I just got put in a time machine and I’m back 20 years ago and I still feel like that person,” Barrymore says.

“This is my chance to just say nothing, do nothing, and just be the clay and they get to mold it,” Barrymore says in a behind the scenes clip. For this look, Appleton used a cascading blonde wig to capture the early 2000s style Barrymore rocked to the premier.
“I love all of Drew’s eras,” Appleton says as he applies the wig carefully. “I just think, what a fun way to still play dress up.”
That iconic blonde instantly took us back to Barrymore’s Charlie’s Angels days, but once Charlotte Tilbury finished her job, there was no denying that we are all now back in 2003.
The hallmark of this look is the Kate Moss-inspired grunge eye. Tilbury achieved this using her brand’s Rock Chick ($55) and Super Nudes ($60) shadow palettes and the Exagger Eyes ($32) eyeliner, which was smudged to provide the smokey eye.
“I feel like that girl again,” Barrymore says in shock as the look comes together. “You are that girl,” Tilbury replies, grinning.
