ColourPop Galore & I Heart This Lippie Stix Reviews & Swatches

0

ColourPop Galore Lippie Stix ($7.00 for 0.0352 oz.) is a deep berry with subtle, cool undertones and a satin finish. It was richly pigmented with a smooth consistency that was moderately dense and lightly tacky, so it tugged slightly during application but had great adhesion. The product sat well on my lips, didn’t feather or migrate over time, and stayed on well for over six hours for a non-drying feel.

Formula Overview

$7.00/0.0352 oz. – $198.86 Per Ounce

The formula is supposed to have “full coverage” with a “long-wearing, ultra comfortable” feel. Because there are quite a few finishes in the range, some of the results depend more on the finish.

The matte finish tends to be thinner, drier, and firmer in the tube, and they can, occasionally, tug on my lips noticeably during application, but usually have good pigmentation and long wear; they range from non-drying to somewhat drying.

The Creme finish has a creamier, more emollient quality to it that has excellent pigmentation, comfortable wear, and good wear time (four to six hours); it tends to be a little hydrating but occasionally suffers from issues where product gathers in lip lines or they don’t go on as evenly as they could. There’s a soft, sweet vanilla scent but no discernible taste.

ColourPop I Heart This Lippie Stix ($7.00 for 0.0352 oz.) is a bright, darker fuchsia with subtle, cool undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation with a moderately dense texture that felt lightly tacky on my lips but didn’t feel clingy. The lipstick tugged a little as I applied it to my lips, so shorter strokes were best. This shade lasted nicely for over six hours, left a stain behind, and felt neither drying nor hydrating.
