The 2024 Met Gala is almost here. This year, a number of A-listers from arts, business and entertainment will show up in outfits based on the theme: Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion. In anticipation of a fashion-filled Monday, here is a look back at last year’s Met Gala viral moments. Last year’s theme was Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, as a tribute to the late legendary designer. Doja Cat wore a cat-like prosthetic nose with a bedazzled Oscar de la Renta gown with a cat-ear hood in tribute to Karl Lagerfeld’s 11-year-old Birman cat, Choupette.
Jared Leto also paid homage to Karl Lagerfeld’s beloved cat and wore a giant fluffy white catsuit. He took off the “head” of the costume as he posed on the red carpet.
