Scarlet Shock
Tom Ford Beauty Scarlet Shock Extreme Badass Lip Color ($58.00 for 0.1 oz.) is a bright, medium orange-red with warm undertones and barely-there pearl over a semi-matte finish. It had semi-opaque color coverage that applied somewhat evenly on my lips but could have been better, especially around the edges and the inner area of my lips.
The texture was creamier and more forgiving compared to the other shades in the formula, but it was still on the clingier, drier side and felt a little clay-like as a result. It wore for five hours and felt slightly drying over time.

The formula is supposed to “bold” color in a “single stroke” that is a “metallic-matte” finish that is “long-lasting.” The texture was firm, dense, and stiffer to work with, and there was a general dryness–almost like clay–to the product when applied and pulled across one’s lips. It was more apparent in the lightest shade released in the range than the deepest shade, but it felt somewhat clingy and was more noticeable on my lips compared to most lipstick formulations.
The pigmentation was semi-opaque to opaque in a single layer, and then it was fairly buildable if desired. They lasted four to six hours but were somewhat drying over time. The metallic finish was very minimal, so they would be more suitable for someone who likes matte more than metallic, but there are plenty of better matte formulas on the market.

Tom Ford Beauty Luscious Extreme Badass Lip Color ($58.00 for 0.1 oz.) is a deep berry pink with cool, blue undertones and fine, barely-there shimmer over a matte finish. It had rich color payoff in a single layer, which applied fairly evenly but was more apt to emphasize texture imperfections.
The texture was firmer, denser, and drier with a more clay-like feel that clung to my lips and felt dry and ended up being somewhat drying over the six hours it lasted for.

It was somewhat “metallic-matte,” but it definitely was more matte than metallic, despite this being the more shimmery shade in the range.
The texture was drier, almost clay-like, as it was somewhat thicker, denser, and felt noticeably clingy on my lips. It showed in the application as the product clung to imperfections, gathered in lip lines, and looked subpar. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that could have applied more evenly. It stayed on for four hours but settled further into my lip lines over time and felt lightly drying.
