The Secret Behind Salma Hayek’s Luminous Golden Globes’ Glow Is This Luxe Facial Oil

It’s kind of hard for Salma Hayek not to look “striking and sizzling” anywhere she goes—and the 54-year-old definitely did not disappoint during her Golden Globes appearance tonight.

“We wanted to define and intensify Salma’s gorgeous brown eyes and compliment her striking red dress. We created luminous skin, matched with matte eyes with a touch of sparkle to make them pop. Glowing. Classic. Elegant,” said makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic, founder and CEO of Makeup by Mario, who relied on some very luxe skin care and makeup musts to make his magic.

As part of the all-important skin-care step, Mario began prepped Salma’s face with the restorative Augustinus Bader’s The Cream ($170), followed by Augustinus Bader’s The Face Oil ($230), and finishing with a touch of his Master Secret Glow ($22) for added radiance.

For the eyes, Mario used Shade Matte 8 from the Master Mattes Eyeshadow Palette ($48) on Salma’s upper lids, shades Metallic 3 & 10 from the Master Metallics Eyeshadow Palette ($48), and the Master Crystal Reflector in Quartz ($24) for shine. He completed the look by combining the Master Pigment Pro Pencil in the Perfect Brown ($22) with Master Mattes Liquid Liner in Super Black ($22). Likewise, on the lips, Augustinus Bader made another appearance with the brand’s The Lip Balm ($38).

Hayek gave a much-appreciative shoutout to her glam squad on social, also pegging Beverly Hills aesthetician Cynthia M. Franco’s Sculpting Facial for her “head-to-toe glow.”
