There’s no denying that Rihanna‘s impact on the beauty industry goes much further than just Fenty Beauty. The multi-hyphenate has given us some iconic hairstyles throughout the years, many of which kicked off trends of their own. Remember her Good Girl, Bad Girl era, when she had that asymmetrical bob that became a sought-after style? Or when she shaved the side of her head in 2012 and, all of a sudden, we all wanted to grab a razor and buzz off our hair? No? OK, maybe it was just me.
I personally have quite a few of Rihanna’s hair looks bookmarked to recreate one day (and some that I’ve already attempted). In early March 2021, when the singer-songwriter debuted some seriously cute curtain bangs for her Savage x Fenty collection, I was obsessed. It also reminded me of all the other times she’s stunted with bangs, like when she dropped Anti and placed a gold crown on her sleek lob with thick, arched bangs in one of the “Diary” videos. I think about that moment often.
