[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] If there’s one thing guaranteed to grab my attention, it’s a new kohl pencil. Over the last year, I sort of stopped wearing it (as I did most make up) and it took me almost the whole year to really miss it. But, I know I look and feel more like me when I swipe a black line over my inner eyelid – it’s been a life long beauty love that’s firmly back in place.

Something I haven’t seen for a very long time is a Brightening Liner – and I love it! If I remember correctly, when brightening liners first appeared they were white – which not a tone you’ll find on anyone’s inner rims – but the idea is to make your eyes look more open and brighter. Sweed’s version is more of a buff shade so it’s not going to look too stark and it really works without looking weird.

The other two shades are dark brown and black. The absolute key to a good kohl is their softness – it’s enough to drag a pencil through your inner rims without it feeling hard – and these really are very silky and weightless. It’s a very creamy texture that deposits colour well in one stroke. There is a sharpener but these seem to be a standard size so you probably don’t need to shell out £7 for another if you have one at home. There’s also a new mascara that I haven’t got to yet so will post about later in the week but the brush is skinny so it’s all looking good.
