Former tennis star—she earned Duke University an NCAA title and ranked #6 in the U.S. at one point—and Rachael McAdams doppelganger Susie Abromeit took summer by storm with Universal Pictures’ The Forever Purge. Next on the break-out list: An upcoming role in King Richard, opposite Will Smith and Liev Schreiber, due out in 2022. The Florida native recently chatted with us during a break from filming to share her current fitness routine, skin-saving favorites and why Will Smith is the coworker we all deserve.

How do sports still play a part in your fitness-wellness routine?

“I’m still very active in life, doing yoga, working out, running, playing tennis, skiing. My body is definitely my temple and I am trying my best to care for it, so I do things that feel good and nurture it. I love the feeling of being in great shape and feeling good. If you feel good, then you’re able to do so much with your body.”

You’ve said you’re very into skin care. What are some favorite products?

“La Mer is my absolute favorite and I live by it. I’ve been using it for more than 13 years now. I definitely think that is one of the greatest skin creams I’ve ever used. It’s like magic in a bottle. Also, the Philosophy face scrub is pretty great, and for makeup removal, I use coconut oil.”

Anything crazy you do for beauty?

“Nothing too crazy—I want to keep it pretty holistic for the most part. If I find a cream I stick to it, like La Mer. I do stay out of the sun and I’ll use sunscreen and floppy hats if I have to be in the sun. I think that’s definitely saved my skin.”

What’s the one thing people might be surprised to hear about working with Will Smith?

“He’s just the coolest. Never meet your heroes unless it’s Will Smith. He’s everything you hope him to be, great to the crew, wonderful to people, amazing to work with, and challenges you in scenes. It was the most fun I’ve had working with someone. He reminded me of why I do what I do. You hear again and again how wonderful it is to work with Will. That really stayed with me. On one of the sets, when everyone was having a long day during a super cold day in New York, he brought donuts and coffee for everyone to keep morale high on set. I’ll never forget that and try to model how he treats people. He’s just the best.”
