Sir Paul McCartney cuts a casual figure in joggers and sandals as he visits an animal rescue centre
He’s known for his tireless efforts as an animal rights campaigner.
And Sir Paul McCartney was spotted visiting a rescue centre with wife Nancy Shevell in East Hampton on Friday.
The Beatles legend, 79, looked relaxed in a woolen sweater layered over a dark T-shirt and navy joggers.

Slipping his feet into black sandals the singer kept a low profile, shielding his eyes behind square rimmed sunglasses.
Accessorising with leather bracelets the singer sported an unshaven face as he wore his salt and pepper locks combed to one side in a relaxed style.
Nancy, 62, who married the celebrated musician in 2011, also donned a casual ensemble for the day out.

Slipping into figure hugging olive leggings the businesswoman wore a white jacket as she too protected her eyes behind turtle shell shades.
Also in sandals, a striking pair with fuchsia detail, Nancy wore her luscious locks in chic chignon.
The couple appeared in high spirits as they wrapped their arms around one another, joined on their visit by a male friend who held his dog on a lead.

Later the animal loving couple stopped to speak to other visitors as they gushed over each other’s pooches.
This comes after Sir Paul paid tribute to Her Majesty The Queen in a throwback snap, posting to his 3.8million Instagram followers on Thursday.
The music legend posted a snap of him and Her Majesty from 1996 at the royal opening of the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts.

Clutching onto a bouquet of flowers, The Queen beamed in a dusty blue ensemble, next to an equally as cheerful Sir Paul – who donned a suit.
Sharing the snap, he wrote: ’70 beautiful years of Queen Elizabeth the second. Congrats ma’ am! And thanks – Paul’.
The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts was created by Sir Paul and around 2,000 sponsors – with The Queen officially opening the centre.

But it wasn’t a first meet for the pair, as Sir Paul and his bandmates were invited to Buckingham Palace in 1965, where they were all awarded with MBEs – with the musician later being awarded a knighthood.
And Sir Paul was awarded another honour in 2018, as he once again stood before Her Majesty to be made a Companion Of Honour for his contribution to music.
He is only one of a few musicians to receive the recognition, including Vera Lynn and opera singer Janet Baker.

The post comes after Sir Paul reflected on the wild experience with CBS’s Gayle King for Her Majesty The Queen: A Gayle King Special.
Describing the meet, the musician explained: ‘She looked like a film star to us.’
Sharing protocol during the experience, he continued: ‘You’re told not to shake her hand, you call her ‘ma’am’ not ‘your majesty’ and you know if she stops on the line and talks to you, talk to her.’
Gayle then questioned ‘Otherwise?’, to which Sir Paul jokingly replied: ‘Otherwise, shut up.’
