Sephora Shimmer Espresso 12HR Retractable Eyeliner Pencil ($13.00 for 0.01 oz.) is a medium-dark brown with subtle, warm undertones and a lightly sparkling sheen.

The formula is supposed to have a “super-creamy, waterproof formula” that has “intensity.” The pigmentation ranged from shade to shade with the more matte shades tending to have semi-opaque, buildable coverage, while the shimmers were often a bit sheerer and did not always build up as well.
The texture ranged from lightly creamy to moderately creamy but were comfortable to work with on the lash line without tugging or dragging. They claimed 12-hour wear, but my experience was that they lasted closer to eight to eight and a half hours for most shades. They seemed water-resistant overall. The range seemed decent but nothing ground-breaking nor a real improvement over most eyeliner ranges available. Given that these are twist-up, they contain very little product for the price, so not the first formula I’d reach for.
