It had semi-opaque, buildable color coverage with a smooth, creamy consistency that was easy to work with and had enough play time to smudge and blend out, but it didn’t migrate as it set. It stayed on nicely for 10 hours before fading a bit, and there seemed to be around 75% still visible after 12 hours of wear.

They were quick to dry down but had enough creaminess that they could be blended and smudged initially, if desired. While the ingredient lists seemed to differ between this formula and its predecessor (with the same name), the colors, textures, and wear times seemed to be similar. Most shades lasted between nine and 10 hours on me with the more glittery shades having the shortest wear times and the deeper matte shades having the longest wear times.

There was very, very fine pearl in it–most visible in the close-up of the pencil itself–but didn’t come through visually in person.
It had a lightweight, smooth, and moderately creamy texture that glided on readily but didn’t feel too wet or thick, so it dried down without migrating and moving around (but was blendable). It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single stroke, which lasted well for 10 hours before showing signs of wear. There was still 80% or so that seemed visible at the 12-hour mark.

It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that applied evenly and fluidly as the texture had good glide without being overly wet or too creamy, so it wasn’t prone to settling into fine lines as it set. It lasted well for 10 hours with minimal fading and was still ~85% intact after 12 hours of wear.

Sephora Cocoa (14) 12-Hour Contour Eyeliner Pencil (2021)Sephora Cocoa (14) 12-Hour Contour Eyeliner Pencil (2021) ($11.00 for 0.04 oz.) is a rich, mediumd-ark brown with moderate, warm undertones and a pearly sheen. The texture was smooth with moderate glide, which gave it a slightly creamy feel but it wasn’t too wet or slippery, so I didn’t have issues with it migrating into fine lines on my lower lash line.
It had nearly opaque color coverage that applied evenly and wore well for 10 hours with minimal fading. There was still a fair amount (around 80% by my estimation!) after 12 hours of wear.
