‘I always see so much emphasis on weight loss on social media and not enough on weight gain,’ she wrote.

‘So many people associate weight loss with happiness, and I just wanted to say that I am the heaviest, happiest and healthiest I have ever been! For those who need to hear it!’ Mia added.

Mia, who is AFL star Brendan Fevola’s stepdaughter, revealed in 2020 that she used to struggle to gain weight.

She said she used to be bombarded with trolls telling her to ‘just eat something’, while she was already trying to gain weight.

‘Fitness has become a major focus of mine the last couple of years,’ Mia said in an Instagram post.

‘Every day on social media I see so much emphasis on weight loss, dieting, etc. I struggled to find other people that had the same issue as me, desperately trying to gain weight,’ she said.

Mia went on to explain: ‘I felt like nobody else understood, until I shared it on social media and realised how many other people were in the same boat! It made me realise how little conversation there was about it.

‘I would have people online and in person telling me to just eat something, when I was eating the same sized meals as my dad. After years of trial and error I think I’m finally starting to figure out what works for me.’

Mia said the secret to her success was ‘consistently eating the right food’ and ‘focusing on weight [and] resistance training’.

She revealed she had gained eight kilos over the past few years and was at the ‘healthiest physical and mental state’ she’d ever been in.
