Marc Jacobs Shares Results of a Recent Facelift That Uses This Special Technique

Celebrities have come a long way when it comes to admitting to plastic surgery. In the past, if we were lucky, they’d confess to having a little work during a Barbara Walters or Diane Sawyer interview or on the cover of a weekly tabloid. Today, however, with social media being at the tip of their fingertips, we get to hear it straight from the horse’s mouth just days after a procedure.

In this instance, it’s fashion designer Marc Jacobs who is sharing the details of his recent facial work with fans and giving a day-by-day update on his progress. Jacobs, who chose New York facial plastic surgeon Andrew Jacono, MD for his facelift, is so pleased with his results that he couldn’t wait to show his followers just how easily and quickly he is recovering.

In a recent update, Jacobs shared that less than a week later he’s bruised, sore and super swollen. As part of his recuperating process he’s employed the use of hyperberic oxygen chamber treatments which are said to help reduce swelling and discomfort by supplying the body with ten to 15 times its normal supply of oxygen.

Dr. Jacono is well-known for his celebrity rejuvenations and has most recently been in the spotlight for performing Sonja Morgan’s deep plane facelift last year. Deep plane facelifts can sometimes take longer than a traditional facelift because both the skin and muscle are lifted and repositioned together as one unit.

Over the weekend, the celebrity surgeon also took to social media to thank Jacobs for his openness. “I could cut diamonds with that jawline,” shared Dr. Jacono. “Thank you for trusting me with your face it means the world to me! Your transparency and authenticity is rare and refreshing. It will give others the courage in their journey of self care, to take control of their appearance. Yes you can look like yourself but just better after plastic surgery. This is why I love the deep plane facelift!”
