MAFS Australia: Poppy Jennings flaunts her incredible weight loss

She debuted her impressive weight loss earlier this month, almost two years after failing to find love on Married At First Sight.

And Poppy Jennings continued to showcase her slimmed-down frame on Monday as she spent the day in Shoalhaven, NSW, with her children.

The 40-year-old mother of two, from Wollongong, drew attention to her lean figure in a cropped white T-shirt which was tied at the waist.

She completed her look with ripped jeans, an Akubra hat and leopard-print sneakers.

Poppy had revealed her weight loss on November 5 when she posed for a rare Instagram photo in a figure-hugging red dress.

She displayed her svelte frame in the plunging knee-length frock, and added height with a pair of perspex heels.

‘It’s been a while,’ she captioned the snap, tagging her makeup artist friend Angela Dimovski.

In addition to looking thinner compared to her appearance on MAFS Australia in early 2020, Poppy also sports lighter hair these days.

The photo was flooded with comments from her former co-stars, with Cathy Evans writing: ‘Girlie, you looking good.’

‘Beautiful,’ added Connie Crayden, while Aleks Markovic commented: ‘Wowee.’

It comes after Poppy claimed she lost out on a plum breakfast radio job because Channel Nine allegedly pressured the station to withdraw its offer.

She told The Daily Telegraph she was offered a six-figure position ‘to be part of a presenting trio on Illawarra’s No. 1 radio station’ but the deal was nixed when Nine stepped in.

Poppy believes Nine asked the station, which is owned by WIN Corporation, to rescind the offer in response to her criticising MAFS publicly.

She said the radio job was a ‘small consolation’ after her bad experience on MAFS, which she claims left her ‘damaged’ and seeking the help of a hypnotherapist.

‘I was offered a breakfast radio gig to be part of a presenting trio on Illawarra’s No. 1 radio station but the offer didn’t happen after I spoke out about Nine,’ she claimed.

Poppy went on to say: ‘I’m still not the same person I was before the show. I’ve lost my confidence. I don’t want a man ever again.’

Singing her praises: The photo was flooded with comments from her former co-stars, including Cathy Evans, Connie Crayden and Aleks Markovic

A WIN Corporation spokesperson said it didn’t have an affiliation deal with Nine at the time, adding that ‘no official job offer was made’ to Poppy.

Poppy, who was portrayed as sulky and ungrateful during her season, also said she was facing online abuse from around the world because MAFS is syndicated in multiple territories, including America, the UK and the Netherlands.

The photographer had publicly criticised Nine and production company Endemol Shine while her season was airing last year.

Allegations: Poppy made a series of wild accusations last year about her MAFS ‘husband’ Luke Eglin, which cannot be published for legal reasons

She claimed she’d been unfairly edited and that the real reason for her unhappiness on screen was not revealed because it was ‘too controversial’.
