Fearless

LYS Beauty Fearless Aim High Pressed Highlighter Powder ($19.00 for 0.23 oz.) is a rich, darker orange-copper base with lighter, golden copper shimmer that gave it a smooth, metallic sheen. It had opaque pigmentation in a single layer, so I had to use a lighter hand or less-dense brush to achieve the more buildable pigmentation it was marketed as having.

The consistency was smooth to the touch, firmer but not dense or overly thick. The powder applied evenly to my skin and diffused well along the edges, and the finish didn’t emphasize my skin’s natural texture. It stayed on well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Formula Overview

$19.00/0.23 oz. – $82.61 Per Ounce

The product is supposed to be buildable with a “superfine” texture that doesn’t have “chunky glitter.” They had more semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation initially, which could certainly be diffused or used with a lighter-hand to achieve more buildable coverage. The texture was firmer, though not dense or thick, and did seem to have a more finely-milled and finer pearl throughout.

That being said, the actual result on skin was moderate in its glow; it did not emphasize my skin’s natural texture (which has not been a big issue for me; most highlighters do not, though a few do, so for me it’s infrequent that it occurs but possible) but there was enough visible pearl/shimmer that it might still accentuate skin with more visible texture. It just didn’t have the texture and sheen of the more forgiving powder highlighters I’ve tried in the past.

These wore around eight hours on average on my normal-to-dry skin applied to my cheeks as a highlighter/blush combo (I like doing a larger area, as it gives me more area to inspect!).
