There’s no denying that Lady Gaga loves to make an entrance with a pair of bangs. Last November, the actor, singer, and founder of Haus Laboratories debuted two completely different styles of fringe while on her international press tour for her new movie, House of Gucci. For her appearance in London, the multi-hyphenate stuck to the classics and donned some blunt bangs, and by the time she came back stateside, they were much shorter. Since then, the tables have turned, and the singer has now returned to a longer pair of bangs, specifically, curtain bangs.
Gaga shared a selfie of her new loopy, swoopy curtain bangs in an Instagram post on January 19. This creative take on the classic ’90s curtain bangs were also joined by an updo styled into two topknots.
While curtain bangs are definitely having a moment — with Gaga seeming to be one of the latest participants in this reemerging hair trend — bottleneck bangs are enjoying some time in the spotlight as well. Glamour UK described them as “a pared-back curtain bang that features a shorter section in the center to create a miniature ledge just above the brow, while longer tapered sections towards the edges hug the cheekbone.” Actor Margot Robbie is considered to be the first celebrity to have worn this fresh spin on curtain bangs. Hairstylist Bryce Scarlet was behind the new take on the style of fringe.

That being said, if you’re a fan of the style of Gaga’s bangs but are not quite into the length, bottleneck bangs are the way to go.
