Kelis, who is no stranger to bright hair color, took to Instagram on Sunday, February 6, 2022 to premiere her bouncy new hairdo. Even though she’s been rocking red for a few months now, it’s these luscious curls that I can’t stop fangirling over.
While there’s so much to unpack in this less than ten-second Instagram reel, Kelis gave us glam in every sense of the word. She showed off her red nails, bright pink lipstick, and curly hair in slow-mo while Juvenile’s viral hit “Slow Motion” played — a brilliant use of the the song’s chorus. The reel’s caption gave her viewers the exact recipe to achieve this lustrous look: “Slow motion for ya. Red velvet. This bounce feels so good. BOUNTYANDFULL.COM. I used my biotin rose hair mist and mushroom plum split end and setting treatment.”
After taking a scroll through Kelis’s feed, I’m wondering if this is her natural hair or just a flawlessly-styled wig. Just one week ago, she posted a colorful beauty look with short ringlets barely two inches long.
