There are more celebrity beauty lines now more than ever—think: Lady Gaga’s Haus Labs and Jennifer Lopez’s JLo Beauty—but there’s always space for another take on skin improvement, and John Legend is next in line to share.
According to Fortune the “All of Me” singer is debuting a new skin-care line for darker skin tones this fall. While the name has not yet been announced, we know that Legend is is collaborating with holding company A-Frame Brands—they have also previously worked with other celebrities for their launches—for the debut line.
“I love that they have a really diverse team and are concerned with making the world a better place, concerned with listening to a myriad of voices who are often marginalized and left behind, concerned about creating something that is affordable and accessible to all kinds of people, truly loves people of color and wants to provide people of color with the care that we deserve,” Legend tells Fortune about his partnership.
Prices and product specifics are still unknown, but the line will dive deep into common skin concerns that those with darker skin tones often face, like dryness, itchiness and pH imbalances.
“Of course, I’m in the public eye, and so there’s a bit more of a premium placed on making sure we take care of ourselves and present ourselves well to the public,” Legend says. “But everybody has skin, and everybody cares about their skin, and everybody cares about presenting themselves well in every situation, whether it’s, you know, family, community, or wherever they are…It’s such an important part of who they are, and how they present themselves to the world, and how they feel.”
