Is Kate Moss Launching a Makeup Line? Here’s What We Know So Far

Rumors are swirling that Kate Moss is launching her own makeup line à la Victoria Beckham—and all eyes are on the 50-year-old supermodel as fans anxiously await an official statement from Moss herself.

British tabloids have been diligently reporting on this topic. According to a May 18 piece from The Mirror, Moss filed a trademark under her name in December, which was approved in March. The trademark reportedly includes a handwritten logo featuring Kate’s name followed by a heart.

Documents submitted to the Intellectual Property Office and gathered by The Mirror hint at a range of products, including lip gloss, mascara, eyeshadow, and blush, along with Kate Moss eyewear and stationery.

This venture wouldn’t be Moss’s first foray into the beauty business world. In 2022, she launched the wellness brand Cosmoss, which remains in business to this day. In an Instagram post aligned with the launch, the brand described itself as “self-care created for life’s modern journeys, drawing on the extraordinary experience of Kate Moss.” The line includes a mix of beauty and wellness products, such as face cleansers, creams, incense sticks, and teas.

“Cosmoss is very personal to me, I wanted to create something I believed in, something that I could share,” Moss told WWD when the brand launched in the States in November 2023. “I wanted the ingredients to be as natural as possible, to create something spiritual and soulful. Cosmoss is a brand with rituals, not rules; I’ve created wellness my way, for soul and senses.”

Moss is no stranger to the beauty industry. She is famed makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury’s self-proclaimed beauty muse, regularly wearing her makeup on the red carpet and starring in her campaigns. “My gorgeous friend Kate has been my beauty inspiration since we first met on a magazine shoot in the 90s!” writes Tilbury on her website. “One of the first stars to wear Pillow Talk on the red carpet, Kate is a true beauty icon! She has a hypnotic, magical magnetism that changes the frequency when she walks into the room, making her the perfect beauty muse!”

The model also previously launched a collection of red lipsticks with Rimmel in 2001, a collaboration she maintained for over 15 years. To this day, the lipsticks remain highly coveted. Countless fans have taken to Reddit to look for dupes for their favorite shades, even though some are still available on Amazon.

Curiously, Moss’s future logo sounds quite similar to her former Rimmel collaboration. Could her new line use the same logo? Looks like we’ll have to wait and see.
