Imogen Poots shares kisses with her fiancé James Norton as they enjoy a low-key lunch

He’s tipped to be the next 007, but James Norton has already found his leading lady.

The actor, 36, was pictured sharing sweet kisses with his 32-year-old actress fiancée Imogen Poots after they went for lunch near their home in East London this week.

The bushy-bearded star of Happy Valley, Grantchester and McMafia, who was wearing his bicycle helmet, gave Poots a departing hug as they left the restaurant separately.

‘They couldn’t keep their hands off one another,’ an onlooker told the Daily Mail’s Eden Confidential.

James and Imogen have recently brought a house together in East London, according to reports after years of being long distance.

Earlier this year an insider told Eden Confidential’s Stephanie Takyi that the couple were engaged, and said of their happy news: ‘They’re over the moon about their engagement and have only told close friends and family.

‘Imogen was totally surprised and is looking forward to being Mrs Norton.’

The pair confirmed their romance in December 2017, after appearing alongside each other in the West End production of Belleville at the Donmar Warehouse that summer.

The couple’s romance began a few months after James split from Irish singer and actress Jessie Buckley, 32 – who he was with for two years.

James and Imogen initially had a long distance relationship (between New York and London), which she previously opened up on during an interview with The Evening Standard.

She said: ‘It’s all I’ve ever known. I’ve never known something to fall apart because of distance. Sharing a bathroom, however, is quite another matter,’ she added.

James has previously said his 2020 film, Nowhere Special, in which he played the dying father of a three-year-old boy, kicked off his ‘broody barometer’ and he was keen to become a dad.

The hunky actor is famous for playing crime-solving vicar Sidney Chambers alongside Robson Green in the ITV series Grantchester since 2014.

Imogen is best known for playing Tammy in the post-apocalyptic horror film 28 Weeks Later, and portraying Jesse Crichton in A Long Way Down.
