Here’s what we’re loving in November

We made it. After weeks of lockdown, the clubs are finally open, we can almost  travel again and to top it off Christmas and New Year’s Eve is just around the corner.

So in homage to this exciting time, we’ve picked out a few of the best things to get excited about in November – which are guaranteed to get you right in the mood for the festive season.

From a quirky new hayu series with dance sensation JoJo Siwa (where you can practice your own dance floor moves – fitting!) to thrilling events and exciting product launches, here’s what we’re loving in November…

What to watch: Siwas Dance Pop Revolution

Look who’s back! JoJo Siwa and her mother Jessalynn are returning for a brand new season, Siwas Dance Pop Revolution, which is available to stream exclusively on hayu now

You may have heard of multi-talented teen sensation JoJo Siwa, who is currently making history in the first ever same-sex couple on Dancing With The Stars US.

And as if that wasn’t enough, the Dance Moms star is also back for a brand new show exclusively on hayu – and her mother Jessalynn is coming along for the ride.

The famous mother-daughter duo are teaming up for the ultimate reality competition series Siwas Dance Pop Revolution, in which young talent will compete for a coveted role in XOMG Pop, a brand-new pop group that will be managed by Jessalynn.

Eleven tweens will participate in a series of performances and challenges, while JoJo serves as choreographer and mentor – and as part of the grand prize, the newly crowned pop group will serve as an opening act for JoJo. How good is that?

Think glitz, glamour, sequins, drama and everything in-between for the action packed new show.

‘I want to be famous!’ one of the youngsters is heard saying in the trailer, as Jessalynn promises: ‘We are going to make you guys the next phenomenon.’

‘There’s something missing in the world of music,’ JoJo adds. ‘And that is kids pop original music. So if we’re making a pop group, I want kids that have something special about them.’

The camera then flashes to the girls’ wild auditions, showing them strutting their stuff and rocking their best moves for a coveted place in the band – while, of course, their ever-supportive parents cheer them on in the background.

‘It’s not just singing. It’s not just dancing. It’s everything,’ JoJo says, as she prepares to make some tough decisions as to who will be joining the group.

If you’re looking for some fun, energetic viewing with just a drizzle of drama, look no further. Siwas Dance Pop Revolution is available to stream now, exclusively on hayu.

What do buy: Harry Styles’ new beauty line Pleasing

New project: After topping the charts, making headlines with his sensational red carpet looks and wearing dresses for Vogue, Harry Styles (pictured) has found a new way to delight fans with his new non-binary cosmetics brand

After topping the charts, making headlines with his sensational red carpet looks and wearing dresses for Vogue, Harry Styles has found a new way to delight fans with his new non-binary cosmetics brand.

The One Direction’s star cosmetic line, called Pleasing, has already sold after after launching for pre-order earlier this month.

However, beauty enthusiasts in Australia will be able to get their hands on the singer’s nail polish and serums when the vegan and cruelty-free line launches to the wider public on November 29.

Styles, who is known to play with gender fluidity, said he wanted the collection to bring joy to fans, regardless of gender.

Some of the nail polishes can be purchased at $30 a piece, while the pearlescent illuminating serum is available for $52.

Pleasing’s first collection also ventures into skincare with the Pleasing Pen, which retails at $45 and doubles as a lip and eye serum.

Styles said of the pen: ‘When we decided Pleasing would make beauty products I wanted to be sure they were something I would use.

‘I didn’t want to make products to mask people, I wanted to highlight them and make them feel beautiful. The Pleasing Pen is great because if you’re feeling a little less than lovely you can refresh yourself anywhere,’ he added.

The brand aims to take inspiration from nature, is vegan, cruelty-free and eco-friendly.

Packaging is made from compostable and recycled materials that have been ‘responsibly sourced’.

Revendicating a gender-neutral aesthetic, Pleasing also ‘dispels the myth of a binary existence.’

Speaking of how he came up with the line, Styles said: ‘I wanted to find a way to explore more ideas and have more opportunities to collaborate with people who were inspiring me; that’s how Pleasing was born.

‘Starting the brand with beauty felt exciting because creating great products is a unique way to make people feel good.’
